Defence Health partners with Soldier On to strengthen veteran families in 2026

Soldier On is proud to announce that Defence Health will be the official partner supporting the organisation’s parenting programs for 2026, funding the full delivery of all four courses nationally.

The valuable Defence Health support will cover the cost of running Soldier On’s evidence-based parenting program suite for the year, ensuring veteran and Defence families across Australia can continue to access practical, high-quality support.

The four programs include three that are accessible for both veterans and their families, as well as the unique Lighthouse program designed primarily for veterans.

• Tuning into Kids
• Tuning into Teens
• Circle of Security
• Lighthouse

Delivered online, the programs are designed to support veterans with parenting and their relationships with their partners, strengthen parent–child connection, build emotional awareness and confidence, and support families navigating the unique pressures of service life and transition.

Soldier On Chief Executive Officer Paul Singer said the important partnership reflects a shared commitment to the wellbeing of veteran families.

‘When we talk about supporting veterans, we must also talk about supporting families,’ Mr Singer said. ‘This partnership with Defence Health enables us to deliver all four parenting programs in 2026 and ensure families have access to tools that strengthen connection, resilience and stability at home.’

Parenting programs form a key part of Soldier On’s broader health and wellbeing offering, which supports contemporary veterans and their families during and after service.

Supporting Defence families

Defence Health CEO David Brajkovic said the organisation is proud to support initiatives that make a tangible difference to Defence families.

‘We understand that service impacts the whole family,’ Mr Brajkovic said. ‘By partnering with and supporting like-minded organisations, we are helping ensure families have access to support that builds strong foundations for the future.’

The partnership underscores the importance of early, preventative support for families, recognising that strong relationships at home are central to long-term wellbeing.
