Pages of Connection – Soldier On Book Club

Oct 3rd @ 12:00 pm

Join Soldier On this October for a special Veterans’ Health Week 2024 session under the official theme, “Keep Connected,” where we explore the power of literature as a tool for fostering community, connection, and participation. During a healthy catered morning tea, we will bring veterans and their families together to delve into books that resonate with themes of social connection and the shared veteran experience, such as “Find Your People”, “Save Me An Orange” book of poetry, and “Conversationally Speaking”.

Participants will engage in meaningful discussions guided by our Trauma-Informed Care trained Programs & Engagement Officers, who will help navigate the emotional and social aspects of the selected readings. We will support your connection to other veterans and families in the community but also provide valuable insights into mental and social well-being, reinforcing the importance of staying connected within the veteran community.
