National charity Soldier On has been recognised for its exceptional contributions to the veteran community, named a finalist in two prestigious categories at the Australian Defence Industry Awards 2025: Veteran Support Program of the Year and Training and Mentorship Program of the Year.
‘This outstanding achievement reinforces the support and life-changing opportunities that Soldier On’s
education, training and employment pathway programs enable Defence Force members to access,’ said
Soldier On CEO Paul Singer.
- Veteran Support Program of the Year 2025:
The expansion and strategic refinement of Soldier On’s Employment Support and Learning & Education Programs resulted in record engagement, improved participant satisfaction and a significant increase in veteran and family employment outcomes. Soldier On supported career transitions by helping veterans gain industry-aligned qualifications and confidence through accessible, flexible learning opportunities. These programs were developed in direct response to community needs and supported sustainable employment transitions through education, reskilling and confidence-building.
- Training and Mentorship Program of the Year 2025:
The Soldier On Mentoring Program’s mission is to help veterans, current service members and their family members reach their employment, education or personal goals. These goals can vary from career progression, education study, skill development, career planning or change, professional networking and successful transitioning from the ADF. The program’s tailored approach creates individual development plans that align with each veteran’s unique needs and aspirations.
The Australian Defence Industry Awards ceremony will be held at the National Convention Centre
Canberra, ACT on 10 July.
