About the role  

We are currently recruiting for a Drawing officer within the Substation Design team. The preferred location is Orange, but other regional centres within our operational footprint may be considered.

Do you have experience with computer aided drawing packages such as Microstation or AutoCAD, to complete electrical, mechanical, civil or structural drawings?

Or do you have an interest to gain these skills with on the job training as well as attaining AQF IV qualifications? 

Would you like to work in a highly engaged substation design team that utilises world class systems to deliver quality detail designs? If so, then we would like to hear from you!

The Drawing officer role is a key position within the Substation Design team and will be responsible for the detailed drawing of all types of drawings using both 2D and 3D systems for substation design capital projects. The Drawing Officer will also be responsible for general office duties and drawing management functions.

About You  

In order to be successful as a Drawing Officer, you will possess the following skills and experience: 

  • Business administration experience or working in a design office is desirable
  • Ability to understand and comply with company manuals, regulations and processes 
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of communication and customer service techniques
  • Knowledge and application of current computer skills, including Office 365 products
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to produce quality work.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver technical services in a professional and timely manner
  • Strong time management skills with excellent planning and organisational skills

Required Qualifications   

  • WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate 
  • Current Driver’s Licence
