Defence Community Relationship Officer – VIC and TAS

We have an exciting casual opportunity around 30 to 40 hours per fortnight for a Defence Community Relationship Officer to provide the relationship and engagement presence in Victoria and Tasmania to support members of all segments to manage their personal and family healthcare.

Reporting into the Defence Community Relationship Manager, this stand-alone role is perfect for a self-motivated individual who enjoys setting goals and is looking for flexibility.

The Defence Community Relationship Officer is required to be Melbourne based and will involve travel to Tasmania approximately 4 times per year. You will also be required to be available some weekends and evenings.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Defence background: Ex-serving or Reserve, DPS, family connections (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of Defence and Defence community
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with a variety of audiences and stakeholders
  • Confidence and intellect to be proactive in search for new opportunities and contacts
  • Basic strategic awareness and business skills to understand role of business and the role contribution to the organisation
