John retired from Macquarie Group in 2023 after 26 years, finishing as Co-Head of the Specialised and Asset Finance Division. He led global teams, major transactions, and strategic partnerships across industries.
Before Macquarie, John worked as a senior management consultant and served nine years in the Royal Australian Navy as an Officer of the Watch and Assistant Principal Warfare Officer.
He holds a Bachelor of Science from UNSW, a Graduate Diploma in Management Science, and an MBA from UTS.
