I’m a registered social worker, and my job here is a practical one. I work with you to help you work out what you need and how to get it. People come to me when something has changed or things are a little difficult and you are not sure how to make the changes or get the right support or service. It might be that you and your family have just experienced a move, a discharge, a change at home, or just a time where things are harder than usual, and you want a hand sorting it. That might mean finding a craft group or somewhere to meet people in a new town or suburb. It might mean tracking down a counsellor for one of your kids who has started at a new school and isn’t settling in. It might be that you’ve been thinking about family therapy and want a few names and numbers worth trying. Nothing is too small or too ordinary to ask about.
