Hugh Riminton is National Affairs Editor with the TEN Network.
He was a founding board member of Soldier On and has a long-term interest in veterans’ welfare.
Hugh is the son of a Royal Air Force officer and the grandson of a Royal Naval officer.
As a reporter for the Nine Network, TEN and CNN he has been with ADF members in almost all major areas of operation since 1990, including Somalia, Rwanda, PNG, the Solomon Islands, Timor Leste and Afghanistan. He also reported extensively on the ground during the Iraq War as a correspondent for CNN.
“A society’s pact with those who defend it is a simple one,” he says. “Some people sign up to sacrifice everything. Those of us who benefit owe everything in return.
“I am delighted to be continuing my association with Soldier On as an Ambassador.”
