Vet Connect – Adelaide

Soldier On’s Vet Connect – Transitioning is an all-inclusive support program designed to reduce the trajectory of known mental health impacts on veterans during initial transitions and planning for transition timing. This program aims to improved transition outcomes, including skill building for reconnecting and re-establishing roles within the family, as well as reintegrating into a new or established community, successful preparedness for entering the workforce, conducting job searches, writing resumes and cover letters, learning, and practicing interview skills, and translating defence skills and duties into civilian terms to detail qualifications, training, and experience. Vet Connect-transitioning cultivates opportunities for making social connections with peers throughout the weekend, by providing diverse and engaging activities along with workshops focused on inclusion and resource support for those members about to transition, or who have recently transitioned.
