6-week online BBR Parenting Program Six two-hour online zoom sessions, every Thursday at 11:00 – 13:00.

What is Tuning Into Kids? Tuning Into Kids is a parenting program that supports you to foster connections with your own children and family. It has been developed by University of Melbourne and is being used worldwide. You will learn about child development and the limits it places on what your children can achieve. You will also learn about the stress response system and how it is linked to their emotional experiences and family conflict. When we talk about emotions in the group, we will explore their evolutionary purpose and function. Knowing about emotions in this way will enable you to teach your kids to manage their anxiety, anger, and conflict to develop their friendships and reach their goals. We will also go through a five-step process to solve family problems and conflicts. This process was developed by the Gottman Institute and is based on over 30 years of scientific research. Research indicates that after participating in Tuning into Kids programs parents have reported: their kids have better emotion regulation strategies Their kids are more pro-social the family have stronger and more positive relationships, including greater intimacy and closeness.

Facilitated by SO clinicians trained in Tuning Into Kids delivery. Attendance at all sessions, whilst not required, is strongly encouraged.
