About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Support Officer. The Customer Support handles the investigation and resolution of claims related to People and Services, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. This includes managing complaints, GSLs, escalated inquiries, retailer concerns, and all ombudsman-related matters and referrals, in line with Essential Energy’s guidelines.
This role can work from home with the possibility of some travel across the Essential Energy footprint as appropriate for connection and collaboration purposes.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and communicate, influence and negotiate outcomes.
You will be an excellent problem solver who can analyse data and make recommendations to resolve complaints and claims whilst maintaining confidentiality and ensuring sensitive matters are handled with diplomacy and respect.
You will have experience performing under pressure and managing a complex workload and strong skills in computer operations and business systems.
Previous experience in a similar role working and dealing with customer concerns, investigations, assessments and resolution of claims and compensation requests highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
• Certificate III in Business and Certificate IV in General Insurance or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
