About Gary Charnock

Gary Charnock was born in Liverpool England. He started his basic infantry training in 1988 before joining The 1st Battalion The Kings Regiment where he served for 14 years as a British Soldier. While on deployment Gary would often create short stories and illustrations to send home to his young sons. This simple act not only helped to maintain his connection with his family at home, but also gave him an enjoyable escape.

20 years on, Gary has turned these drawings into “The Adventures of Sniffer and Flutter” to help support Defence families as it did for his own young family. Gary has generously donated $5 from every copy sold to Soldier On, and as a result assisting us in the delivery of life changing support services to our veterans and their family members.
