Sarah Hartley

National Program Director - Social Connections

Sarah has an extensive history working within Ex-Service Organisations (ESOs) and the Defence community. Prior to her current role, Sarah worked at Kookaburra Kids and at the Robertson Barracks family group in Darwin across a variety of sectors, including management, community engagement, and volunteering. Sarah’s extensive career in the ESO industry has provided her with the skillset and knowledge to provide exceptional assistance to Soldier On participants and her team.

Sarah first joined Soldier On in 2019, with a desire to help serve those who have served our country. After being introduced to the services Soldier On provides, and as a spouse of a current serving member for the last 18 years, Sarah felt drawn to join Soldier On, and has since been ignited with a passion for enabling veterans and their families to thrive.

Her role as the National Program Director for Social Connections involves her leading a team of Programs Officers and Case Coordinators to deliver community focused activities that support veterans and their families across Australia. During her time at Soldier On, Sarah has helped grow Social Connection events by 75% per month.

Sarah continues to lead her team with passion and enthusiasm, working closely with the Health and Wellbeing team to ensure Soldier On is delivering the best possible services to our participants.
