An Introduction to Sculpting from Life – Voices of Veterans

Come join artist, mentor and veteran Mike Armstrong in an introduction to sculpting from life class for the local Canberra veteran, first responder and arts community. This class will introduce you to the fundimentals of sculpting from life, and working with plastalina clay. The class will be a small intimate group within Mike’s studio in the Robert Poate Centre and will provide you with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and practice the techniques and skills you will learn. This class is essential learning for follow-on classes Mike will be running on sculpting from life. No experience is necessary.

We do ask for a ‘pay it forward’ contribution from veterans, first responders and their families of $80 to cover the basic costs of the workshop and allow us to support future events arts workshops facilitated by Voices of Veterans. The workshop’s full cost for none veteran affiliated participants is $160.

Refreshments will be offered during the class.
