Coffee catch up-Wodonga @ Cafe Grove

Come along for a brew and a chat, our Programs Officer will be attending the catch up to share information about upcoming events and to discuss ideas for future events and any individual needs. There is no need to RSVP, and all those attending cover the cost of their own drinks.

Coffee Catch Up-Mayfair House @ Mayfair House

Join us at the Gregory Sher Centre for an informal get together for current and ex-serving national security personnel and their families.

On street parking is available at a small cost on either Royal Parade, or in nearby surrounding streets. Alternatively you can catch Tram No.19 ; which travels up Elizabeth Street and along Royal Parade from the City. Disembark at stop No. 16 and walk approximately 70m to Mayfair House.

The morning tea will be catered for so please send through you rsvp details, or if you have any questions please email vic@soldieron.org.au.  We hope to see you there!

Fitness and Wellbeing program-2019 @ Aspire Fitness Centre

Aspire Fitness Claremont are now hosting free group fitness classes for veterans. Join the experienced trainers for 45 minute HIIT & Strength sessions. These classes are free to all participants. Registrations are essential.

Frontline Yoga @ Robert Poate Centre

Frontline Yoga provides yoga for mental and physical strength and resilience, delivered in a trauma sensitive way. Police, Paramedics, Firefighters, Defence, Healthcare Workers, SES/RFS, and Surf Life Savers can access free weekly yoga. Frontline’s aim is to foster community and support for those who step into frontline roles.

Sessions run from 6:00pm-7pm on Tuesday evenings at the Robert Poate Centre. Frontline Yoga also holds other yoga sessions around Canberra on other days and times. Please visit the Frontline Yoga website to find out more www.frontlineyoga.com.au.

Tuesday 16th April will be held at the James Turrell ‘Skyspace’ sculpture in the Australian Gardens  at the National Gallery of Australia. Our instructor will be there from 5pm onwards.

Coffee Catch-up – Port Macquarie – 2019

Our NSW Team will be holding a Soldier On Coffee Catch Up for veterans, supporters, family members, and volunteers in the Port Macquarie area every Wednesday.

Starting at 0930 there is no need to RSVP. One of our Participant Engagement Officers will be attending the catch up fortnightly to share information about upcoming events and to discuss ideas for future events and activities.

Wellbeing Wednesday-2019

This is for anyone who enjoys exploring Canberra, fresh air, varied activities, and catching up with a coffee. The activities will take place on the first and third Wednesday of every month.

There is no need to register, but emailing act@soldieron.org.au to check the meeting location is advised as this will change every fortnight.

Coffee Catchup-Kilmore @ Kilmore RSL Club

Join us at the Kilmore Bowls Club for a coffee and chat. Our coffee catch ups are a friendly and supportive environment to meet with other serving and ex-serving personnel in your community. Family and friends/supporters are also welcome.

A Soldier On volunteer and ex-service person will be there, along with a representative from the RSL, to greet you.

You are free to stay for part, or all of the catch up. No bookings are needed and there is ample street parking.

Please share this event with other serving and ex-serving personnel you know around the area, who may benefit from connecting with people with similar life experiences.

Learn to Crew & Race

You are invited to join a Sailing Crew and learn the craft of Yacht Racing with our friends at the Royal Motor Yacht Club in Toronto, Lake Macquarie. This is a great opportunity for you to join a Race Crew and develop skills and a love of sailing. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t sailed before or if you’re the keenest of sailors, sailing is for everyone! Participants can join the team on a weekly basis for the season and enjoy being part of a racing crew.

Who can attend: This FREE event is open to all current and ex-service personnel (given the nature of this activity – ages 18+ apply)
