Learn to cycle! @ Chandler Outdoor Track at the Sleeman Sports Centre

Brisbane participants who love to cycle or keen to try, are encouraged to join the Monday 10am group at the outdoor track at the velodrome! Current and ex-service personnel from all walks of life have formed this group and it is open to all! Join Michael (an ex-service member himself) and his coaching team to get some fresh air and show off some lycra!

You will need to bring your own helmet and riding kit, however, a track bike can be borrowed. The cycling fee and insurance is covered provided you register through Soldier On.

The Chandler Outdoor Track at the Sleeman Sports Centre is located at the corner of Old Cleveland and Tilley Roads.

Stretch & Release Classes @ Stellar Physio

Join in on a 30 Minute, physiotherapist guided yoga class every Saturday to release stiff & sore muscles and joints, while learning to get the most out of your foam roller and trigger point ball. No experience required.

We recommend wearing comfortable, stretchy clothing, and bringing a water bottle. This class is open to all Soldier On participants, and will also be attended by the general public.

Functional Fitness Group Training @ Palm Beach Aquatic Centre

Attention all service personnel and family members in the Palm Beach area! Thanks to the Gold Coast City Council, Glenn Fitness Coast Fitness is offering a free 1 hour PT fitness session. There’s never a bad time to start working on your fitness so join up now. These group sessions have the right amount of fun and toughness and are run by an ex-serviceman.

Want to get fit but not sure how? Look no further than Steve’s Veteran Fitness and Wellbeing program! This program is open to all who have served and can be tailored to suit your needs. We do suggest bringing a towel.

 

Frontline Yoga @ Robert Poate Centre

Frontline Yoga provides yoga for mental and physical strength and resilience, delivered in a trauma sensitive way. Police, Paramedics, Firefighters, Defence, Healthcare Workers, SES/RFS, and Surf Life Savers can access free weekly yoga. Frontline’s aim is to foster community and support for those who step into frontline roles.
