More than $1.5 Million Raised in Support of Veteran Services

Soldier On held its annual Sydney Gala Ball at The Four Seasons Hotel, where more than $1.5 Million was raised in support of veterans and their families. Led by popular media personality and Gold Logie winner, Kerri-Anne Kennerly, the premier black-tie event attracted more than 300 attendees and VIP guests.

The event welcomed the most influential Sydneysiders, Defence personnel, business leaders, and the community to raise money for Soldier On’s life changing services.

Notable guests included Soldier On Keynote Speaker Alan Jones AO, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley, The Honourable Peter Dutton, Bryant & Dominique Stokes, Ginia and Gina Rinehart, as well as Charlie & Ellie Aitken.

The evening’s entertainment saw three powerful performances by internationally acclaimed Australian singer Muma Megs, as well as silent and live auctions and pledge donations to support the holistic support services provided by Soldier On.

Funds raised during the evening will allow Soldier On to deliver more of its services to a greater number of veterans and their families, enabling them to thrive in their transition from the Australian Defence Force into civilian life. This is achieved via Soldier On’s delivery of holistic services assisting individuals to build resilience, create and expand meaningful connections with family, community and employers through its health and wellbeing services, employment programs, learning opportunities and participation activities. Soldier On CEO, Ivan Slavich, said he was overwhelmed by the outstanding generosity and support displayed on the night.

“It is fantastic to see so many influential members of the Defence and business communities coming together in support of our serving and ex-serving veterans and their family members,” Mr Slavich said. “The funds raised during the evening will allow Soldier On to expand on its services, offering veterans and their families with greater support when transitioning out of service,” Mr Slavich added.

This year’s event is made possible by the support of Macquarie Group, the 2021 Sydney Gala Ball Platinum Sponsor. Sponsorship opportunities are now available for Melbourne and Adelaide events.
